![]() Thank you very much, and sorry for my english. I will upload some picture when i get at home, i planned to disassembly the guitar tonight.īut if someone can understand something from my informations would be very apreciated! The Affinities are practically the same as the Japanese-made Squier Bullets of the mid-'80s the same alder bodies, same rosewood-type fretboard and maple necks.īut i'm not really sure my guitar is from 98, also because the serial number start with CD98XX and had big headstock. So if the EIA number is 606 5807, the first three digits (606) is the manufacturer code. The first two digits stand for the last two digits of the year of manufacture (if made in the 20th century), while the last two digits stand for the week of the year. NCXXXX is also used for Squier Strat Bullets of the same vintage. In many cases, you will see four digits following that code. The headstock is the big one, the tuners are trapezoid, 1-ply white pickguard while the guitar color is "navy blue", maple neck and rosewood fretboard with 21 frets!įrom 1996-1999, "Made in China" Squier Stratocasters carry the "Affinity" decal on the smaller ball of the headstock and have serial numbers as NCXXXX with the first number the year of manufacture, e.g. The guitar has big Squier logo in black and it say: SQUIER STRAT BY FENDER and a little Affinity series logo on the smaller ball of the headstock, no serial or anything on the neck plate. ![]() ![]() I just bought a squier strat, in the back of the headstock i can read: Crafted in china S/N CD98XXXX, i'm having some problems identifing this guitar. Hello all! i'm new here and this is my first post and also my first Squier!
